Terms of service

Last updated 17 October 2026 · “Publishing a trip” (in section 3) added 18 October 2026; it applies only to organisers who choose to publish

These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of miotripz (“we”) about using the miotripz website and apps (the “service”). By signing in or using the service you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What miotripz is

miotripz is a planning and coordination tool for groups of travellers: itineraries, flights and hotels, expenses and who owes whom, notes, photos, reels and a live stream. It is a tool, not a travel agent, a bank or an adviser. We do not sell travel, we do not hold or move money, and we are not a party to any booking or payment between you and anyone else.

2. Who can use it

3. Your content

“Content” is everything you add: trip details, names, expenses, notes, photos, videos, documents and profile information.

Publishing a trip (optional). An organiser who owns a trip can publish a cleaned copy of it for anyone to read and copy. Nothing is published unless the organiser chooses to, and each time they confirm that they have the right to publish it.

4. Using the service properly

Please do not:

We may remove content, limit features, suspend or close accounts that break these rules or put others or the service at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.

5. Money, expenses and settling up

The expense and settlement features help a group keep track of who paid and who owes. The amounts, shares and exchange rates are entered by the group or taken from public rate sources, and are shown for convenience only. We are not responsible for mistakes in what is entered, for rate differences, or for whether anyone actually pays. Payment details people save (for example a PayNow, UPI or Venmo ID) are only displayed; any transfer happens outside miotripz between the people involved.

6. Travel information and AI suggestions

Itineraries, flight status, weather, visa and entry summaries, opening hours, prices and AI-generated suggestions come from third-party sources or automated tools and can be wrong or out of date. Treat them as a starting point. Always check visas, passports, health rules, bookings, safety advice and opening times with the official source before you travel. You are responsible for your own travel decisions and documents.

7. Credits and plans

Some actions, such as creating trips or using AI help, use credits that we assign to organiser accounts. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and we may change the amounts, costs and limits. If we introduce paid plans, the price and terms will be shown before you pay, and these terms will be updated.

8. Our service and its limits

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost bookings or trip costs, or loss that arises from information you or others entered, from third-party services, or from events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability to you for anything connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or if you paid nothing, to a small token amount. You agree to cover loss we suffer because you broke these terms or the law.

10. Ending things

You may stop using miotripz at any time and can erase your account in My profile. Organisers can delete their trips; a deleted trip is kept for a short grace period and then purged. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we have to stop the service, and we will give notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should continue (content permissions already granted for shared trips, liability and the sections about disputes) continue after you leave.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will change the date above and tell you in the app. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and erase your account.

12. Questions and disputes

If something goes wrong, please write to us first at [email protected] and we will try to put it right. These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If a part of them is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
